NTA Confirms 2026 Launch Of Kildare-Newbridge Route 893

The service will include early-morning and evening options to improve connection links to Dublin.

A new Local Link bus route connecting Kildare and Newbridge - with dedicated service to Suncroft - is expected to launch in 2026.

The National Transport Authority says procurement for the planned Route 893 is now at an advanced stage.

Senator Fiona O’Loughlin said the latest announcement builds on Local Link network’s expansion earlier this year with the launch of Route 888, which enhanced connectivity to Rathstewart, Kilberry, Kildangan, Monasterevin, Mountrice Cross, Tullylost Cross, Mullantine, Ard Mhuire, Rathangan, Newtown, and Lullymore.
