Public consultation on the proposals is open until January 10th, 2026.
Plans are underway to introduce a 24-hour bus service linking Newbridge, Naas and Dublin city centre from the end of 2026.
Social Democrats councillor Chris Pender said that under the National Transport Authority proposals, Newbridge would be served by a round-the-clock bus route, aimed at supporting shift workers, students and those travelling outside peak hours.
The plans also include a simplified 126 route serving Dublin, Naas, Newbridge, Kildare and Rathangan, and a new 127 route linking Newbridge and Naas with Tallaght, Sandyford and UCD, replacing existing services.
A new Local Link route 893 is proposed to serve Suncroft with improved frequency, alongside an overall 10 per cent increase in bus services across the network.
Public consultation on the proposals is open until January 10th, 2026.
