Number Of Second-Hand Homes On The Market Drops Sharply

A new report by daft.ie shows there were only 11,500 second-hand homes available to buy on December 1st 2025.

The number of second-hand homes available to buy has halved since pre-covid levels.

A new report by daft.ie shows there were only 11,500 second-hand homes available to buy on December 1st 2025.

That's less than half the pre-Covid average of over 26 thousand.

Economist and author of the report, Ronan Lyons says house prices will remain high because of the lack of second-hand homes for sale.
