While a woman was being assaulted at a TD's office
Emergency calls made to Athy Garda station went unanswered last week while a serious incident was occurring.
A woman was violently attacked and bitten whilst working in Deputy Patricia Ryan's constituency office.
However, efforts to contact Gardaí by 999 dispatchers went unanswered on three occasions.
Deputy Ryan and her husband managed to contact Athy Garda Station, they were assured that a Garda would be sent to the incident.
The Guards never arrived at the scene and the victim later presented herself to the Garda station.
The perpetrator, a 58-year old woman has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act following an incident in the South Kildare constituency office last week.
Deputy Ryan's assistant suffered an attack whereby she was abused, scratched, bitten, hit and had her laptop damaged.
