One of Ms Wilson's colleagues said "the office will be a little heavier from now on".

A woman who died following a house fire in Nurney over the weekend has been named locally as Orla Wilson, aged in her 50s.

Kfm understands that Ms Wilson worked for Kildare County Council.

Tributes have been pouring in online, with locals saying she was always helpful and chatty.

One of Ms Wilson's colleagues said "the office will be a little heavier from now on".

Over the weekend, Kfm reported how Gardaí and emergency services were called to a residential property on Saturday.

Ms Wilson, who was the sole occupant of the property, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fire services extinguished the blaze, and her body has been removed to Naas Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí say no foul play is suspected at this time.
