That's according to data from the Dept. of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Over 10% of all Restart Grant applications submitted in Kildare were rejected.
The Restart Grant scheme was launched in May 2020, and was managed locally by city and county councils.
The Dept. of Enterprise, Trade & Employment says 4,171 were lodged to Kildare County Council in all.
Of those, 3,695 were approved, and a combined total of €25,448,466 was paid.
476 applications, with a total value of just over €2 million, were rejected.
