Over 20,000 Back Law Change To Help Renters Keep Their Dogs As Surrenders Surge

Over twenty thousand people have signed a Dog Trust petition, calling for a change in law to give renters and dogs a fairer chance.

The number of people surrendering their dogs because they can't find pet-friendly accommodation has risen by 112 per cent in five years.

Last year, the charity received an average of more than one request per day from families needing to give up their pet due to housing issues.

It's urging people to keep signing the petition on the charity website before it closes on Friday.
