21,784 penalty points were issued on Kildare's roads so far this year, for breaking the speed limit.
That's according to the Road Safety Authority.

In all, 32,835 individual penalty points were issued in the county this year.
Roads Policing Unit Naas were on a speed check when they detected this motorist travelling at 130kph in a 100kph zone.
