New figures show 5,491 first-time buyers in Kildare received Help to Buy since 2020.
Help to Buy provides first-time buyers with a refund of income tax and DIRT to help with the deposit on a new home or self-build, on properties valued up to €500,00.
Tánaiste, Leader of Fine Gael and Minister for Finance Simon Harris has today announced new figures showing that, since 2020, 5,491 first-time buyers in Kildare have accessed Help to Buy to buy or build their first home, one of the highest figures of any county in the country.
The figures form part of a national total of over 64,000 individuals or couples supported by the scheme, with up to €30,000 available per first-time buyer.
Q1 2026 housing completion figures showed that 505 of new houses were in Kildare, the most in the Mid-East region.
