He has issued the call to the Department of Education
Social Democrats Cllr. Chris Pender is urging the Department of Education to promptly purchase a key site currently owned by NAMA, to address the lack of school places in Newbridge.
The site, in Walshestown, has been designated for educational use for over a decade, and Pender says the location is ideal.
The Minister for Education’s office has acknowledged his recent correspondence regarding the matter.
Speaking to Kfm, Cllr. Pender says purchasing this site is a critical first step in providing the children of Newbridge with the educational facilities they deserve.
