Irish Water is conducting works at Srowland Treatment Plant.
Irish Water is warning that 13 Kildare towns and townlands, representing thousands of people, that they should conserve water supply for much of today.
Essential works are to take place at the Srowlands Water Treatment Plant.
Irish Water says a " necessary plant shut down is scheduled to take place this Wednesday", between 8am and 8pm.

The company says it is doesn't envisage water outages, but is asking people to "conserve water as their drinking water supply is dependent on reservoir storage for the duration of the works"
The following areas will be affected: Kildare Town and surrounds; Carbury; Derrinturn; Naas; Athgarvan; Newbridge; Parts of Caragh; Kilmeague; Monasterevin; Calverstown; Nurney; Narraghmore; Ballitore; Prosperous and surrounding areas.
