Permission is being sought for a construction workers' car park to enable building of 314 in Naas.
An Bord Pleanala granted permission last year for 208 houses, 106 apartments and childcare facilities on a site in Naas West and Jigginstown, on two parcels of land located to the east and west of the Devoy Link Road.
Now, developer Cairn Homes Properties is seeking permission of Kildare County Council for the construction of a car park for people who will build the homes
It wants to build a permanent fourth arm on the Southern Ring Road/Devoy Link Road roundabout and a temporary construction related car park for a maximum of 100
The application also indicates that the total build time for the homes is 3 years.
A decision is due on December 2nd.
The development description is as follows:
"for development at this site at lands south of the Southern Ring Road at Devoy Link Road Roundabout in the townland of Naas West. The proposed development will consist of the construction of a permanent fourth arm on the Southern Ring Road/Devoy Link Road roundabout to serve future lands to the south of the Southern Ring Road and provision of a temporary construction related car park for a maximum of 100 No. cars for a period of 3 No. years to serve the construction of the Elsmore, and Whitethorn residential developments to the north, permitted under SHD Ref: ABP-305701-19. The proposed development includes an attenuation area and all associated site works
