The draft plan for 2023- 2029 will be adopted in January.
The County Development Plan 2023 - 2029 for Kildare has been adopted and will come into effect on the 28th January 2023.
There are over sixteen chapters in this plan.
There has been a huge in increase in population in Kildare, which has brought its own challenges in relation to housing, according to The Mayor of Kildare.
In 2020, there were 1,400 houses built in Naas, second only to South County Dublin County Council.
The new plan details the plans for a new bridge in Celbridge and Newbridge, something that has long awaited by locals.
