A proposal to build 87 new homes in Kildare Town has been published.

Thoval Properties is seeking planning permission for the development, which includes a single storey creche.

The proposed site is in Whitelands East.

Kildare County Council is scheduled to issue its decision on August 31st.

The development description is as follows: "involves 87 homes and a creche. 87 homes consist of 47 number 3-bed semi-detached 2-storey houses; 12 number 2-bed mid-terrace 2- storey houses; 21 number 3-bed end of terrace 2 -storey houses; 1 number 4 bed semi-detached 2 storey house; 3 number end of terrace 4 bed 2 storey houses; 3 number 4-bed detached 2-storey homes and a 228m2 single storey creche; All associated site development works
