A signed diversion will be in place, with local and emergency access maintained.
Uisce Éireann and South Dublin County Council are jointly progressing major water and drainage works along the R405 Hazelhatch Road.
The project aims to eliminate leaks, reduce bursts, prevent flooding and secure a more reliable water supply for homes and businesses.
It will also increase network capacity to support existing and future housing in Celbridge and Newcastle.
Uisce Éireann began work in October 2025, replacing 5.25 kilometres of water main between Celbridge and Newcastle.
So far, 850 metres has been completed.
South Dublin County Council is installing 2.5 kilometres of surface water pipeline along with four communications ducts.
To facilitate the works, the R405 Hazelhatch Road will be closed between Loughtown Road and Athgoe Road from Monday, February 23rd until the end of August 2026.
A signed diversion will be in place, with local and emergency access maintained.
