Responding to queries about the status of social housing provisions, Kildare County Council has shed light on its plans for the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District.
The council's social housing program includes several key delivery locations within the district.
Notable among these are Mountain View in Athgarvan, Newbridge, set to receive 18 units by Q3 2024, and Pairc na Manach in Ballymany, Newbridge, where 20 units are earmarked for delivery by April 30, 2024.
An additional 27 units are slated for Pairc na Manach by November 27, 2024.
Looking ahead, the council has proposed several schemes slated for delivery from 2025 onwards.
Among these future projects are 30 social housing units planned for Station Road, Kildare Town, and a single unit designated for Maddenstown Terrace in The Curragh.
Initiatives such as the Coolaghknock Glebe development in Kildare Town are set to offer a blend of 99 social housing units and 32 affordable housing options.
Similarly, the Rickardstown project in Newbridge aims to provide 80 social housing units alongside 40 affordable units.
The council also plans to allocate units under the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) at locations such as St John’s Convent, Sofia Housing, Rathangan (24), and Kare in El Kantara, Newbridge (2).
