It follows Friday's ransomeware attack on the HSE.

The on-going effects of the cyber attack on the HSE last week has resulted in the cancellation of some appointments at Naas General Hospital today.

The HSE's refusing to comment on the sum cyber criminals are demanding for the release of its data.

It follows Friday's ransomware attack - efforts to rebuild the network continue.

Thousands of patients have had their appointments cancelled for the coming week, and healthcare staff have been told to prioritise urgent care.

Meanwhile investigators are attempting to establish if a similar ransomware attack on the Department of Health on Thursday is linked.

The government has said it won't be paying any ransom for encrypted data.

The Dublin Midlands Hospital Group, of which the Kildare facility is part, says "All routine outpatient radiology and Phlebotomy (blood tests) appointments are cancelled for Monday 17th May . The hospital cannot make contact with these patients directly. If you have an appointment, please do not attend."

However, all community healthcare services in Kildare, Dublin South and West Wicklow will operate "as normal" today.

CH07 officials say that's the case "for service users with appointments at Primary Care Centres, Mental Health clinics and at our Disability Services"

The HSE adds, of Covid 19 vaccinations in Punchestown Vaccination Centre " Vaccination is continuing as scheduled and we would be grateful if you attend at your appointed time bringing Photo Identification, your PPSN and wear a face covering."

And Covid 19 testing continues, as usual:
