Residents are unhappy about the new road layout.
It would be safer to cycle the wrong way up the M50 than to cycle in Sallins, that's according to one KFM listener in Clane.
Some residents in Sallins are very unhappy with the new road layout and markings through Sallins Village.
Cllr. Carmel Kelly commented:" For as long as I've been here people have been lobbying for traffic calming in Sallins.
"It can be an extremely busy place to walk and cycle.
"The bollards were supposed to hi vis bollards, they will probably have to be changed," she said.
There are now proposed parking spaces in along the road, where the bollards are.
"This is an interim scheme, people will be on the ground seeing how this works and tweaking things.
Cllr. Kelly said that prior to the new road works "Sallins was boy racer heaven."
