The damage to the pitch, used by the football club, is substantial, raising concerns over repair costs and potential interruptions to scheduled activities.

Snigs Brogan Park - the home of Newbridge Hotspurs FC - was left damaged last night after a group of males allegedly stole a teleporter and proceeded to engage in joyriding across the grounds.

Footage posted online shows the teleporter being driven around the pitch.

Robert Dunne, Club Secretary, said it's not the first time the grounds have been damaged but it's never been damaged to this extent.

The vandals then moved into a nearby residential estate, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

The damage to the pitch, used by the football club, is substantial, raising concerns over repair costs and potential interruptions to scheduled activities.

Robert Dunne will join Eoin Beatty on the 'Kildare Today' show on Thursday morning between 9 and 11am.
