73 social housing units have been proposed for Athy.
The proposed residential development will will be located at a 2.43ha site on Fortbarrington Road, Ardrew, Athy.
The development will be comprised of 54 houses; 50 2-storey and 4 bungalows.
It will contain four 1-bed, twenty four 2-bed, Twenty 3-bed and six 4-bed.
It will have eighteen triplex apartments, three storey comprised of 1-bed.
It will have one 2-bed duplex apartment.
The proposal includes an estate community unit 104.2 sqm, a new access off Fortbarrington Road, on-street car parking,141 spaces, with public and private open space.
There will be boundary treatments, a new pedestrian and cycle connection to south, public lighting, site drainage works, internal road networks and footpath and ESB switch rooms/kiosks.
The estate will be landscaped with a play area,all ancillary site services and development works above and below ground.
Kildare County Council advises any person that considers the proposed development would likely have significant effects on the environment, he or she may, at any time on or before Tuesday, 01 March 2022, should apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have such effects.
