Today marks the soft opening of the Mall Area of Naas Shopping Centre.
From 12 noon today visitors can enjoy a music festival organised by the Féile Nás na Ríogh committee.
The Mall area includes the half-acre area behind the impressive Brandenburg Gate entrance on the Main Street between the Bank of Ireland and The Forge. No shops will be opened at this time, however today enables visitors to wander through the Mall area and enjoy a festival like atmosphere.
Speaking on Kildare Today with Eoin Beatty on Friday, owner of Naas Shopping Centre Ger Roche said that his two sons PJ and Stephen cut the ribbon to officially open the area.
Work is on-going to secure an anchor tenant. On completion it is expected that the shopping centre will have over 30 stores and parking for over 700 cars.
