Garda Fiona Somers, has been sent forward for trial, according to the Sunday Independent.
A specialist garda, with an address in Sallins, has been sent forward for trial after being charged with making a false report of burglary, including the theft of jewellery.
According to Ali Bracken, writing in today's Sunday Independent, Garda Fiona Somers (47), is attached to the Special Detective Unit (SDU).
Her case came before the circuit criminal court on the 15th of March and has now been sent forward for jury trial next February.
Gda Somers, who has been suspended, is accused of insurance fraud against Allianz Insurance Ireland.
The alleged insurance fraud was carried out on March 27, 2015, according to the Sunday Independent.
The Garda is also accused of making a false report of burglary to a Detective Darda at Naas garda station.
Ms Somers first appeared in the district court in 2021 in connection with the alleged crime.
She was previously arrested and quizzed over the allegations.
