Speaking to Kfm, the relative said the victim is "still fighting for her life".
A relative of the young woman seriously assaulted in Newbridge last week said they hope "the monster" that did it does "not get the chance to do it to someone else".

They said the person that did it "needs to be brought to justice before it's too late".
"There has been no update as of who did this or why...she did not deserve for this to happen. Whoever it was left her to die and I honestly don't know where she got the strength to survive," the relative said.
A man in his 20s, arrested in relation to the incident on Saturday, has been released without charge.
The young woman was was found unresponsive in St. Conleth's Car Park on Main Street, Newbridge shortly after 8am on Wednesday morning.
Investigations are continuing.
