Storm Chandra Brings Flooding And Commuter Delays In Kildare

Met Eireann is warning of fallen trees, flooding and hazardous driving conditions, along with a risk of wave overtopping near the coast.

Winds of up to 119 kilometres an hour are being reported as Storm Chandra makes landfall.

The entire country has been placed under a status yellow weather warning until 1pm tonight.

Commuters are also facing major delays this morning. 

Locally, rail services on the Hazelhatch/Newbridge line are facing delays of up to 20 minutes due to flooding, congestion and speed restrictions.
