Gardaí believe all three robberies are linked, and that a grey Land Rover Discovery, registration 12-W-410, was involved.
Gardaí are investigating a spate of armed robberies at shops in north Kildare, with three incidents reported over a two-day period.
The first happened at Londis on Main Street in Prosperous at around 9.30pm on Thursday night, January 22nd.
A lone man entered the shop, brandished a knife, demanded cash from the till and fled on foot.
The store is in a busy area with significant pedestrian and traffic flow.
Two days later, on Saturday night, January 24th, Gardaí say the same suspect struck again.
At 8.45pm, a lone male entered Daybreak in Coill Dubh, this time armed with a metal wrench.
He threatened staff at the till, demanded money and ran off.
Just 15 minutes later, at 9pm, the same man is believed to have returned to Londis in Prosperous, again threatening staff with a metal wrench before escaping with cash.
Gardaí believe all three robberies are linked, and that a grey Land Rover Discovery, registration 12-W-410, was involved.
They are following a strong line of enquiry and have made significant progress, but are appealing for witnesses.
Anyone who noticed suspicious activity in Prosperous or Coill Dubh, or who may have seen the vehicle, is asked to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01-666-7800, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
