It's expected to be on site from mid to late May.
Kildare County Council has confirmed that preparations are underway for the SWIM Ireland Pop-Up Pool to be onsite at Leixlip GAA's Glen Easton site by mid to late May.
The news comes following a question being raised by Social Democrats Cllr. Nuala Killeen at the recent Celbridge-Leixlip MD meeting.
KCC also confirmed that the pool will be in operation for a six months period.
Swim Ireland are now commencing the recruitment of lifeguards and personnel to man the facility during the six months period.
The Pool will be open to individuals, schools, clubs and groups to use and Kildare Sports Partnership will be organising specific programmes with an emphasis on the disability sector and older adults.
