The five storey building will house treatment, assessment and consultation rooms, research facilities and associated offices in a site adjacent to the current Tallaght campus.
CEO of the Tallaght University Hospital Foundation, Douglas Collins, said it will be a game-changer for the facilities they can offer patients.
