Two Dublin men charged with burglary after a high-speed Garda chase in Westmeath have been denied bail, while a third was granted bail.

According to the Irish Independent, Michael Wall (23), Martin McAleer (21), and Hughie Doherty (20) appeared in Athlone District Court yesterday.

All three men have addresses in Tallaght.

The men were arrested this week after abandoning their car in Enfield and swimming across Blackwater River before being caught.
