Senator O'Loughlin introduced Micheál Martin to some local business around the county.
According to The Leinster Leader, Senator O'Loughlin said the Tánaiste was delighted to see the murals of St.Brigid in Kildare town.
Micheál Martin stated that Brigid represents the 'importance of strong women, resilience and endurance, and the importance of these in political life.'
Mr Martin got a sneak preview of St.Conleths Park in Newbidge, before it's official re-opening for The Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship Final.
St.Conleths Park will re-open today, after a year of redevelopment.
He also visited Moloney's Pub in Newbridge and spoke with former and serving Army personnel.
Mr Martin met with local people in Kildare town and spoke on topics of housing, education and health.
He spoke with Paul Lenehan, from Firecastle about his business and the challenges Lenehan faces in the hospitality sector.
Mr Martin gave his full support for Senator O'Loughlin's proposed legislation to stop illegal encampments.
