It follows the cancellation of the Clane-Sallins-Naas town link bus.
There are calls for the Minister for Transport to increase capacity on the school transportation scheme this year.
Since the government waived the €500 fee as part of its cost of living measures, 130,000 people have applied for a free bus ticket.
That includes over 44,200 first time applicants.
As a result, many children were not able to secure a seat on the bus to get to and from school.
There is temporary relief for the Kildare parents who feared their children would be left without school transport due to the cancellation of the Clane-Sallins-Naas town link bus
Labour Councillor Anne Breen told 'Kildare Today' on KFM, that a replacement service has been found for now.
