The primary reasons for presentations are unaffordable rents, family circumstances, Covid 19, and release from prison or hospital.
There were 1,198 homeless presentations in Kildare, of single people and families.
That's according to Kildare County Council's annual report, which notes "The primary reasons for homeless presentations related to family circumstances, impact of Covid-19, prison and hospital releases and unaffordable rents
843 people or families sought emergency accommodation of KCC on more than one occasion last year, and 355 are described as "unique" presentation.
The figure includes 329 children or dependents.
