Water outages have been a regular occurrence for locals in and around the Confey area, with outages reported on March 15th, May 8th, May 16th, July 14th, August 4th - 5th, September 5th, September 7th-8th and today, September 15th.
Residents in Leixlip, south of Confey, are facing another water outage today - the third in just a week.
Kfm understands a local supermarket has now run out of bottled water because of the disruption.
Social Democrats councillor Nuala Killeen told Kfm there was no prior notice about today’s outage, and said the previous two interruptions also came as a "surprise" to locals.
Councillor Killeen claims Irish Water referred her to Kildare County Council, but the council insists the matter falls under the remit of Uisce Éireann.
