The Sunday Times Ireland is reporting sixty five thousand cases have been identified by the Department of Social Protection.
It relates to people continuing to receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment while on an employer's payroll.
The average sum owed is just under two thousand euro, with more than 14 million euro repaid or placed under structured payment plans.
