Three Athy Councillors were the councillors that claimed the most in expenses last year, according to Kildare County Councils annual report.
Athy Councillor Vera Louise Behan, was the only Kildare councillor to claim in excess of €8000.
The Fianna Fáil Councillor claimed €8,530.86 in expenses last year, despite only having attended 72% of council meetings, according to the report.
Labour Councillor, Athy MD, Mark Leigh,was in second place, he claimed €7,949.56.
In third place, also an Athy Councillor, Fianna Fáil's Brian Dooley, claimed €7,432.10.
Two Social Democrats Councillors claimed the least expenses, Cllr. Aidan Farrelly Clane MD and Cllr. Chris Pender, Kildare - Newbridge MD both claimed €3027.35.
