In July, it issued a tenderseeking an Architect Lead Design Team to convert units 8 and 9 in the Village Centre on Main Street to library use.
The contract includes design, interior design and fit out, renovation and construction.
The deadline for response was August 8th.
Fianna Fail Cllr., Daragh Fitzpatrick, wants KCC now to confirm " what is the timeframe for the completion and opening of the new library in Clane?"
His question will come before the September meeting of the Clane Maynooth Municipal District, on Friday.
