The Transport Minister says he is in discussions with Irish Rail about extending late-night train services beyond the Christmas period.
Festive late-night DART and commuter services are currently in place to cover the holiday period.

Kildare North Fine Gael TD Joe Neville said weekend services would benefit commuters, make public transport more viable, and help ease traffic congestion over time.
He said the festive timetable has highlighted strong demand for later trains, with many people forced to leave events early to catch the last service.
Deputy Neville said extending hours year-round would provide a more affordable alternative to rising taxi fares and improve weekend connectivity for towns on the Kildare, Maynooth and Dundalk lines.
He recently wrote to Irish Rail and the National Transport Authority, suggesting the Christmas timetable be used as a pilot for permanent late-night weekend services.
It's something Minister Darragh O'Brien wants to see changed.
