Supply is set to return to the areas affected by 9pm tonight
Two local councillors have expressed dismay following ongoing water outages in Allen and surrounding areas.
It comes as water levels at Allen Reservoir are "critically low" according to Uisce Éireann.
Speaking on Kildare Today, councillors for Clane-Maynooth: Paula Mulroe of Social Democrats and Daragh Fitzpatrick of Fianna Fáil have both criticised Uisce Éireann.
Cllr Mulroe said it's down to "poor communication from Uisce Éireann, adding that it is now " a regular occurrence for us".
Cllr Fitzpatrick said that Uisce Éireann had provided inaccurate information in relation to the outages, with there being "two outages in the last week alone" in the area.
He added that he spoke on the phone with Uisce Éireann for 25 minutes this morning, and that he left the call without any further answers regarding the water outages.
Kfm News has asked for a spokesperson to join the Kildare Today show.
