Two men from Naas are fronting a campaign highlighting the urgent need to improve men’s health in Ireland.
As part of Movember’s new “Real Face of Men’s Health” report, Charlie Dardis from Naas is sharing his own mental health journey, saying therapy helped him through a breaking point in college and that speaking out is vital.

Also from Naas, Finnian King says the loss of his father to prostate cancer and a friend to suicide made him determined to break the silence around men’s health.
Their stories come as Movember publishes new findings showing that two in five men in Ireland die before the age of 75, and that most of these deaths are preventable.
The report calls on Government to back the National Men’s Health Action Plan with €10 million in initial funding, saying change is urgently needed to reduce the toll of cancer, heart disease and suicide among Irish men.
Men accounted for four in every five suicides (79%) according to CSO Data 2022.
