UCD has unveiled plans to expand its facilities at its Kildare research farm.
It is seeking planning permission for construction of a 2 storey, 1,068 square metre office and teaching building on its campus at Lyons Farm in Celbridge.
The facility conducts research on animal nuturion & reproduction, & specialist crop, dairy, equine and sheep research.
Kildare County Council is scheduled to issue a decision on the application for expansion on July 15th.
The development description, as published by KCC, is:
"The development will consist of a 2-story (1068sq.m) office and teaching building. The proposed development will also include the provision of an external plant space located c.4m to the north west of the building (18.5 sq.m), 45no. standard car parking spaces, 3no. disabled car parking spaces (10no Covered), landscaping, external lighting, and all associated site works.
