Works are due to commence in quarter 2 of 2024
Uisce Eireann has said it is prioritising the replacement of the old and problematic mains in the Allen/Kilmeague area.
Serving approximately 16,000 people in the north-west of the county, this pipe has burst a number of times this year, leaving people without water on at least 6 occasions.
Uisce Eireann says works are currently moving through a detailed design and site investigation stage.
The planned commencement of work is quarter 2 of 2024.
