He is one of six Irish citizens among over 175 activists taken from the Sumud Flotilla
It's claimed a number of Irish nationals, including Sallins man Colm Byrne, have been detained by Israeli forces after the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted.
Mr Byrne, who spoke about the flotilla on the Kildare Today show earlier this month, released a video at the time of the flotilla interception by Israeli forces:
They were among a group of over 175 activists taken from the Sumud Flotilla which was attempting to reach Gaza.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is assisting Irish citizens who have been detained by Israeli forces in international waters.
Irish officials from the department say they are actively monitoring the situation and engaging with relevant authorities.
