An Bord Pleanala is assessing three separate applications.
The views of councillors on three North Kildare housing projects, with a total of 684 homes, are being sought.
Kildare County Council will present the details of these three Strategic Housing Development applications at today's monthly meeting of the Clane Maynooth Municipal District.
As the applications are each for in excess of 100 homes, they are being adjudicated upon by An Bord Pleanala.
Cairn Homes is proposing 194 homes, including 75 apartments, on the Dunboyne Road in Maynooth. A decision is due on November 4th.
Debussy Properties is seeking permission for 182 homes, including 78 apartments, at Millicent Road and Prosperous Road in Clane.
ABP is due to issue its determination on November 9th.
While Teresa Monaghan is proposing 298 homes, including 117 apartments, at Boycetown, Kilcock.
A decision is due on November 25th.
