Vigil Held Outside Department Of Justice Following Assault On Indian Man In Tallaght

No arrests have yet been made.

Around one hundred people from the Indian community have come out for a silent vigil in Dublin this afternoon.

The demonstration was held outside the Department of Justice after an Indian man in his 40s was attacked in Tallaght last Saturday.

Gardai say they believe the assault was racially motivated.

No arrests have yet been made.

Shashank Chakerwarti  is from the Desi Community Against Racism.

He said what happened last week has made many members of their community afraid.
