Sunshine continues through Saturday with highs of up to 18°C expected inland, says Met Éireann meteorologist Ailís Hankinson.
Today is set to be the hottest day of the year, so far.
Highest temperatures are due to reach 17°C and possibly 18°C locally in inland areas.
This spell of sunshine is expected to last until Saturday.
