Prospective tenants asked for significant sums, without viewing.
A warning is being issued about a renting scam operating in North Kildare.
The property is advertised through online channels, but, when prospective tenants make contact, they are told the property listing has been moved to AirBnB.
This means anyone seeking to rent the property would have to pay up-front, without having seen the home.
Kieran encountered the scam.
Speaking to Kildare Today he says he balked at moving forward with the lease because of the large sum of money demanded, up-front.
