It's understood that Gardai are investigating if a red Volkswagen Polo stolen in Kildare was used by the the so-called "lucky-dip" gang.
Gardai are also investigating if the gang were involved in a series of break-ins, including an incident in Clane last weekend.
The stolen vehicle was observed in Ballymore Eustace, where a takeaway was broken into at 5.20am last Monday.
The same car, according to the Irish Independent, was later recovered in the Dundrum area of south Dublin last Tuesday.
The vehicle is understood to have been found near the accommodation of a juvenile gang member known to Gardaí for involvement in car thefts, break-ins, and related crimes.
The gang, primarily composed of Dublin-based teenage gang, has been randomly selecting targets across Leinster using Google Maps.
They typically travel in stolen vehicles, utilising the motorway network to reach their targets.
In recent months, the gang has expanded its activities, increasingly targeting commercial premises outside the capital, including in Kildare.
During their recent spree, they were also suspected of checking out houses and cars in several locations.
