over 150,000 worth of damage was caused following a suspected arson attack at Rathasker Stud in Naas last Friday, Februrary 7th.

Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry following a second suspected arson attack at the premises in the past six months.

Speaking to Kfm, Maurice Burns said he was "lucky" he did not lose 20 pregnant broodmares.

He said it took 10 hours for fire services to put out the fire.

He said he lost hay, straw and sheds, with the total loss estimated to be around €150,000.

He said a group of youths were seen heading away from the premises: one on foot, one on a bicycle and one on an electric scooter.

He said he will "keep going forward" but he is thankful no horses or people were injured.
