It comes as outages have occurred in five counties, including Kildare in recent days.
The outage in Kildare, caused by a burst mains on Maynooth Road, has caused the closure of three schools in the Greenlane area of Leixlip, with Scoil Mhuire, Scoil Bhríde and Scoil Eoin Phóil, with the issue expected to be solved by 5pm today.
Colaiste Chiarán on Celbridge Road is also closed until the same period.
Social Democrats Councillor for Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District Nuala Killeen has said that she has requested for water tankers to be dispatched by Uisce Éireann, should supply not return before schools resumes tomorrow.
It has also caused disruption to supply across Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth as well as surrounding areas.
Social Democrats TD Aidan Farrelly has sought speaking time in the Dáil to call on the Government to take charge of Uisce Éireann.
He criticised the absence of "political responsibility or oversight", adding that we are in a situation wherein "the utility can barely operate".
Dublin, Cork, Tipperary and Wexford are also experiencing outages.
