Water Supply Issues In Kildare Town To Persist Until At Least Midnight

Traffic management remains in place at the site.

Repairs on a major water main burst in Kildare town are not expected to be completed until midnight.

Uisce Éireann crews have been working throughout the day after the burst cut supply to homes and businesses in Farrenberg, Palacefield, Elmpark, Fairgreen and surrounding areas.

The utility says the fix is complex because of the size and location of the break.

Traffic management remains in place at the site.

When supply returns, some customers may see temporary discolouration.

Full pressure may take several hours to restore, particularly for homes on higher ground.
