Waterways Ireland is tendering the analysis of visitor data on the Royal Canal Greenway, through Kildare.
The route stretches for 130km from Maynooth to Longford Town
Earlier this month, WI tendered the contract for assistance in development of a visitor faciliy, to "uncover the story of the RCG and integrate that into the journey, so it resonates with best prospect visitors."
Now, it wants a service provider to undertake validation of data from visitor counters
Waterways Ireland says "Reliable data is the basis upon which we can attribute “values” in terms of economic impact, job creation, as well as social, health & wellbeing benefits. "
This exercise is a first stage in validating the data and stratifying the range of users on the Royal Canal Greenway.
